Michigan 2011 House Bill 4499 (Ban Great Lakes wind turbines)

Introduced by Rep. Ray Franz (R - District 101, serving Mason, Manistee, Benzie & Leelanau counties) and Rep. Jon Bumstead (R - District 100, serving Oceana, Lake & Newaygo counties) to prohibit the state from leasing or deeding Great Lakes bottomlands for purposes of erecting wind generators and related structures. This Bill would amend 1994 PA 451, entitled "Natural resources and environmental protection act," to ban Great Lakes wind turbines.
